Vitamin D: Why You Need the “Sunshine Vitamin”

Stronger bones, a better immune system, protection from some cancers, lower blood pressure, clearer skin, and a healthier brain. These are just a few of the apparent benefits of the strangest of vitamins—vitamin D. Unlike all other vitamins, vitamin D is made by our bodies, but it requires sunshine.
Greek Salads

The Greek Salad is the common component of a Greek meal. It is made with wedges of tomatoes, sliced (and, typically, peeled,) cucumber, green bell peppers, red onion, sliced or cubed feta cheese, and kalamata olives, typically seasoned with salt, pepper and dried oregano, and dressed with olive oil. Here is an example of your basic Greek Salad:
Touch Up Wood Baseboards: April’s Fix-It-Up Project

It’s been awhile since I’ve been truly amazed by a product but that’s exactly what happened with this month’s fix-it-up project. I have stained wood baseboards and doors throughout my house. Over the years, they’ve become scratched from all sorts of things – the vacuum, an unruly dog guest, moving furniture, and assorted mystery scratches – to the point of cringing when you look at them.
