Hot & Spicy
This delicious marinade works well when grilling steak, chicken or fish. You can easily adjust the hot meter by adjusting the number of chilies that you use.
Be sure to handle the chilies with disposable gloves, and keep hands away from your eyes and nose.

Perfect Grilled Corn
Summertime’s here, and so is sweet fresh corn in the grocery store. This method of grilling corn is especially good with sweet corn and is the absolute best taste and texture for corn on the cob that I’ve ever had. I’ll never boil corn again.
This grilling technique can be used for other vegetables too, like asparagus. Just adjust the grilling time depending on the veggie.

Watch Labels on Your Cleaning Products
Companies are required by law to share any potential risks on their labels such as skin or eye irritants. They must share how to handle and store the product. However, for cleaning products, not until now were they willing to share their ingredients.

Refreshing Iced Tea
I recently gave up sodas because of the sugar and artificial sweetners, and find myself drinking a lot more iced tea. Here’s a quick way to brew iced tea in no time.
I make cold ice tea by brewing the tea with the least amount of water possible. I make a gallon of tea by bringing 8 tea bags to a boil in 3 cups of water with a lid on, then remove from heat and let it steep for 5 minutes. I remove the lid and let it cool another 5 minutes. Be sure to squeeze the tea bags with a spoon as you remove the bags. I pour the tea in a gallon glass container. Add lemon, if desired, stir and fill the container with cold water that was chilled in the refrigerator. Cold brewed tea in 15 minutes!

Use Peppermint Oil to Rid Your Home of Mice
Getting rid of mice can be a challenge especially if you live near an open space. Here are a few tips to rid your home of these little pests whether you prefer to trap them or take a more humane approach:

Cascade
In this day and age of more products to clean everything; stains, whiteners, brighteners, etc., who can afford it? I remembered a tip given to me from a friend years ago. It’s a great thrify find to save money and time.
I used to work in a laboratory and had to wear white. Bleaching your whites leaves them dingy and yellow after awhile. She recommended Cascade dishwashing detergent – the plain ‘ol white powder stuff. Put your clothes in the hottest water they can stand, add 1/2 to 1 cup of the Cascade powder, and let soak for an hour. The enzymes break down the spots stains, and whiten up the whites.

Homemade Spaghetti Sauce
I quit buying bottled spaghetti sauce. I’m eating foods with low sugar and healthy ingredients. The less expensive sauce brands are loaded with sugar and unrecognizable ingredients. The more organic, healthy ones are expensive. So I make my own with this quick, inexpensive recipe. It takes only minutes to make and saves money. And it has only healthy ingredients that I add myself.
To save even more money, I buy my cans of tomatoes in bulk at Costco, especially when they have a Buy-One-Get-One Free coupon.
