
Being my frugal self, there’s a part of me that hates throwing away Mylar balloons after a party. They sadly float around the room, each day hovering lower and lower, until finally they’re just too sad and flimsy to tolerate and I throw them away.

I’m all about recycling and reusing…the more creative the better. Here are some ideas to reuse those prescription bottles that you get from the pharmacy. Most have child-proof caps that stay put, and of course, remember to remove the original label. To remove the labels from pill bottles, use a hairdryer, heat the label and inside the bottle for a minute or so. I then label mine with my handy label maker.

Plastic knives are the least used in sets purchased or given with to-go meals. Try these clever ideas so they don’t go to waste.

I have decided to put a couple of those stick-up room deodorizers on the walls where our puppy lives, and my mother just told me a great way to reuse them instead of buying replacements when they dry out.
Simply disassemble, soak the little pad inside with Pine Sol or other strong-smelling cleaner, and reassemble!
