Mayonaisse – Nature’s Alternative to Shampoo

Bad-Hair-300x226

Last week I talked about trying to find a “natural” shampoo for my Mother, less the harmful chemicals. I spent a week successfully shampooing my hair with egg. This week I tried mayonnaise. OK, I know, it sounds a little absurd to say the least! But if you think about it, eggs and oil are good for our bodies, why not our hair? Makes sense, right?

Nature’s Alternative to Shampoo – Eggs

Use Egg Yolks for this Mask

Now that you’ve made your homemade Egg Beaters, what do you do with all those leftover egg yolks? Homemade facial masks and shampoo is one solution. Another is your own tempera paint (remember that from grade school?)

The mask and shampoo couldn’t be easier. Only fresh egg yolks are required. And we love the way we’re saving money too!
