Most of us will only write this date on our checks once in a lifetime. (I should go buy something special just to say I did it.) The last time this happened, it was Nov. 11, 1911; the next time will be Nov. 11, 2111. So this is a very special date both historically and mathmatically.

Geri and I can’t wait until Saturday when we get to shop at our new Colorado IKEA store! We’ve heard so much about how great the store is but never had one close by. We’ve already poured over the catalog, made our list and checked it twice, and plan to leave in plenty of time to get there early.

It feels safe to talk about the positive things going on in your life but what about the dark-side you keep hidden? I’m finally able to fall asleep again after I have a nagging night sweat. For a long while now, every night sweat led to night thinking, which led to no sleep for Carol. But with the house remodeling, staging, listing, offer, packing and POD storage, moving sale, donation truck, temporary housing, looking for a new house, calling the utility companies, and finally closing last week on my old house, not to mention working full-time, much of my “to-do” list is behind me. Thank goodness! I was a wreck!
