Geri knows that I’m the queen of quick cleaning. Who has a whole day to devote to housecleaning? I know I don’t, and I would guess that you probably don’t either. So any quick and easy tip to make the job less time consuming is for me! Here’s another “wipe-and-a-promise” cleaning tip.

Who doesn’t love bacon? It’s the one smell that’ll get even my sleepy-headed boys out of bed on a weekend morning. But the grease from the bacon is always a mess. I don’t like spending my time smearing bacon fat around on the stove trying to get it off.

It was the end of summer; time for one last dip in the lake before cold weather sets in. My son went swimming with his friends…and his cellphone. (It’s interesting what you can find out from Facebook.)

If you are like me, you have a box of cornstarch sitting in your kitchen cabinet. I am not sure why it is there, I never use it! I know that cornstarch can be used to thicken gravy and soups, however, my Mother always used flour instead and so do I. After a little digging I discovered that cornstarch has many uses. It is safe and inexpensive therefore why aren’t we taking advantage of it?

Mr. Clean had the original “magic eraser”, but as usual everyone has jumped on the bandwagon and for good reason, these chemical free little erasers work!! I recently purchased a box of 20 from QVC for $20.00 which may sound expensive until you realize how far you can make one stretch. I have yet to find a project so big that I need a whole brick, instead, I cut them in half (you now have 40). Depending on my job at hand, I may cut them into fourths (that’s 80). You see where I am going with this–anything to save a few pennies. I use these little magical wonders until there is nothing left before tossing.
