Drink Tap Water Instead of Bottled Water

Both at work and at home, we have stopped drinking bottled water. We have a supply of filtered water that we use to refill our PBA-free water bottles or drinking glasses.
Conserving water is critical to all of us. While it may seem as if we have an endless supply of water, we don’t. Check out the important and very interesting information on the Internet about how much water is consumed, where, and how much is wasted.
One of best tips is to buy a stainless steel jug and fill it with ice and tap water and refill the jug whenever you want. This is very economical, too. For those that live in an area that their tap water is less than ideal, there are many economical and easy to use filters. We have one that filters directly from the cold water line, but you can also find ones that fit on the faucet spout, or sit on your countertop.
For every 1 gallon of bottled water you drink, it costs $10.00 (way more than a gallon of gas!) But, for every 1 gallon of tap water you drink, it only costs 1 cent! Drinking tap water not only saves you money, it also helps to save the environment from plastic bottles that should be recycled but aren’t. Most end up in landfills or waterways where they will sit for decades.
If you are forced to drink bottled water, buy the large jugs or invest in a large bottle dispenser. Then refill your reusable bottles and safe the landfill from all those plastic bottles.
