Hot & Spicy Chipotle Marinade

Print Friendly
Hot & Spicy

This delicious marinade works well when grilling steak, chicken or fish. You can easily adjust the hot meter by adjusting the number of chilies that you use.

Be sure to handle the chilies with disposable gloves, and keep hands away from your eyes and nose.

Hot & Spicy Marinade

  • 5-6 large chipotle chilies with its juices
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 2-3 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
  • ½ cup lime juice (with lime zest)
  • ¼ cup orange juice (with orange zest)
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Add ingredients to the food processor and blend until smooth.

Score the meat, poultry or fish and add it to a glass container with lid or in a baggie and seal.  Let it sit in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.  You’re ready to grill!
