Decorate Your Own Special Occasion Cakes

Decorate Your Own

One of my regrets was that I didn’t learn from my mother how to decorate cakes. However, I did learn just enough to get by and that is all you need to create a special cake for your loved one’s special occasion or holiday.

Michael’s and Hobby Lobby both offer cake decorating classes during the year; check their websites for more information. You may prefer to purchase a simple cake decorating kit and try it on your own (take advantage of weekly coupons). Borrow a book from your local library for instructions and ideas, or visit Wilton for some great recipes and many creative decorating ideas–love this website! Don’t be afraid to try something new that can save you money.
