Seek Out the Simple Things in Life

Doesn't this Happy Dog Make You Smile?

This website is all about simplifying.  Geri and I write daily sharing tips, recipes, and interesting facts and stories that help us pull away from the complications of our lives.

So many times, we are so busy rushing through our lives that we have little time to slow down and enjoy the little things that bring joy to our lives.   A smile from a stranger, the picture of the happy dog on a recently received thank-you card, the change in my co-worker’s voice when she’s talking to her daughter, or a butterfly sailing gracefully over your head-these are just a few small things that have graced my life lately.

What are some things that you have experienced? Big events happen infrequently, so it’s important to notice these little things in life. How often does a birthday or a wedding occur, or you win the lottery? Are these big events enough to satisfy you?

Small Coincidences Add Spice to your Life

Small Coincidences Add Spice to your Life

Today is July 3. As I write this, I noticed that we just had our 7003 visitor. That small coincidence was enough for me to inspire this post.  By no means does enjoying simple pleasures mean you’re simple minded. In fact, these small finds will add spice to your life.

“Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.”
