Clean With A Lint Roller

Geri knows that I’m the queen of quick cleaning.  Who has a whole day to devote to housecleaning? I know I don’t, and I would guess that you probably don’t either. So any quick and easy tip to make the job less time consuming is for me! Here’s another “wipe-and-a-promise” cleaning tip.

Clean Toilet Tip

Let the Tabs Do The Work For You

Hate scrubbing toilets?  Me too!  Try this tip and make your job a little easier.  The night before you clean toilets, drop a denture tablet into the bowl, let it sit overnight and the effervescence action will do most of the work for you.  Next morning your job will be easy!  It is much easier to keep them clean on a weekly basis to prevent stains and buildup.  Keep baby wipes (add your favorite cleaner to the wipes) in each bathroom to touch up when needed.

In this day and age of more products to clean everything; stains, whiteners, brighteners, etc., who can afford it? I remembered a tip given to me from a friend years ago. It’s a great thrifty find to save money and time.

Scheduling Chores – Organizing Your Home and Life Series

Learn to Delegate

Scheduling your weekly chores doesn’t work for everyone. I got into the habit while working outside the home and found that it worked well for me. It was the only way I was able to stay on top of all my weekly responsibilities. It kept me structured and organized. Of course my favorite part was checking things off my list as I completed them. My one regret is that I never learned to delegate! I always thought I could do a better job and much more quickly than anyone else. What was I thinking! Don’t make that mistake—it’s not too late to start delegating.

Lemon Fresh

Here are some easy tips for household cleaning and repair that uses simple, inexpensive items that most people already have in the house.

1. To restore finished wood furniture, steep two tea bags in hot water for 10 minutes. Let cool, then dampen a clean soft cloth with tea and wipe over wood furniture. It will bring out the woods natural color and shine.

2. Use kitty litter mixed with baking soda in a pan to neutralize musty or bad odors.

3. If the tip of your shoe lace becomes frayed, snip off the frayed end. Then paint or dip the end of the shoe lace into clear nail polish and let it dry. Good as new.
