Do you have a sweet tooth—yeah, me too!! I am always looking for a snack that will satisfy my craving for something sweet! Jelly Belly has just come out with a new “Superfruit Mix”. They are made from natural sources and real juices, including acai, blueberry, pomegranate and cherry. According to their website, JellyBelly.com, pomegranate and cherry are very popular.

This is my favorite smoothie recipe. I love it because it’s best with frozen fruit since the fruit makes the smoothie cold and thick. Add whey protein powder instead of milk or yogurt to boost the protein content; each 2 T. scoop adds about 20 g. of protein. The whey protein also adds a nice milky consistency. I add flaxseed for the nutritional value, and sometimes a touch of lemon juice to brighten the taste.
This smoothie recipe is easy to make, packs a lot of protein to last you through the day, and tastes delicious. I count the whole blender-ful as 4 weight watcher points, depending upon the point value of the whey protein.

Can your diet affect depression? That’s the question that researchers have been studying for years. We’ve always known that eating healthy is good for us, but now research reports that people who regularly eat fruit, vegetables, and fish reduce their chances of suffering from depression.
