HELP—I am at my wits end! Grocery shopping, menu planning and meal preparation has turned into a nightmare at my house. I consider myself a decent cook. I learned to cook like my Mother and Grandmothers before me—good old southern style. But lately I am struggling with preparing meals for one vegetarian, one newly diagnosed allergy to wheat, cow’s milk, soy, onions, etc. and one very picky eater. Yikes, give me a break! I dream of winning the lottery so that I can hire a personal chef. But in the mean time I am on my own.

Every Thanksgiving I serve a turkey with mashed potatoes and all the trimmings. For Christmas I serve a ham and scalloped potatoes with all the trimmings. This recipe works well with both.

This recipe came from my Aunt Mollie’s kitchen. It’s quick, easy and a healthy snack.

This delicious marinade works well when grilling steak, chicken or fish. You can easily adjust the hot meter by adjusting the number of chilies that you use.
Be sure to handle the chilies with disposable gloves, and keep hands away from your eyes and nose.

How can anyone resist a lemon muffin with a hot cup of tea? This is a great recipe for a brunch or to serve at a wedding or baby shower. If you are not crazy about lemon, try changing it up by using oranges.
