Growing up in the 70’s I never gave much thought about the water I drank.  It never crossed my mind that it was vital to every living creature on earth.  I drank when I was thirsty or when I needed to wash down the vegetables my Mother lovingly and insistently put on my plate. You will find the answer to be both yes and no.  I have found research to support both sides.  The FDA has assured us that the plastic used to make the water bottles is safe for first-time as well as repeated use provided you properly clean your bottles with warm, soapy water to prevent any concern for possible bacteria growth.
