As you know, I redesigned my son’s old bedroom into a beautiful guest room with a few added feminine touches for my new daughter-in-law. There were mini-blinds on the window, but I wanted to warm the room up a bit with some simple sheer curtains.
I decided to make the curtains using a sheer fabric I had leftover from a previous project, so the curtains cost me nothing! The beautiful rod I used was purchased at our local thrift store for only $2.00. But, my favorite touch was a set of tiny clear flower lights, purchased at IKEA for $14.99. I wrapped the lights around the rod and allowed them to cascade down either side of the curtains. The lights give the room such a beautiful ambiance. Well worth the $16.99 I spent to update that window!
Update: Loved the lights so much in the guest room, I bought a set for our master bedroom!! And, there were no comments or complaints from my hubby which means that he kinda loves them too!!
