About once a month, I watch (sometimes in horror) the window washers suspended from cables to wash the windows on our 10-story office building where I work. Thoughts wander through my head…“I hope he doesn’t fall”…“What washer solution does he use?”…“Oh, he’s kind of cute!”

Ever wonder how window washers get those windows so clean and shiny?

So I asked, and here is how they do it! Take a bucket of warm water, add a squirt of JOY dish soap (only use Joy), and a small amount of ammonia. Apply with the spongy side of the squeegee. Then starting at the top, squeegee off using an “S” pattern, wiping the squeegee with a rag as you go. Great for windows, mirrors, and bathtub tiles!
