Wrap Your Gift Using The Shopping Bag

Share the Fun!

You can imagine my excitement when I heard that my friend who lives in England just had a baby girl.  Not only was I happy for her and her husband, but that meant that I got to go shopping. And not just any-old shopping, but shopping for a girl! (you fellow mothers of three boys can understand my enthusiasm!)

So check out the adorable outfit I bought.  It had a little shirt, leggings with sweet hearts on the knees, a matching hat and matching booties.  And the store also gave me a pretty striped box, polka dot tissue paper and a cute paper shopping bag.  And I found a baby gift card with the polka dot theme.  I was in heaven!

Now the challenge was shipping it to England and have it still look nice.  The shopping bag was so cute, I decided to try using that to decorate the box and try to keep the package as flat as possible for shipping.   First I cut the giraffes out of the shopping bag.

Then using my glue gun (my favorite toy), I hot glued the giraffes onto the box, along with a giraffe on the card envelope too. Over the area that had the store name, I glued a bright lime green ribbon to match. And there you go, a cute package and card that’s flat and easy to ship, and won’t arrive with a smashed bow. I loved it and hope you do too.
