Following up on Geri’s article on the fun time and delicious food that we had at the local Peach Festival, I want to share this recipe for Grilled Peaches with Vanilla. They’re perfect for a summer cook-out.

We love to grill all year round, but especially in the summer. This delicious recipe is easy to make, healthy, and sure to please.

The older I get the less important “things” mean to me.  Don’t get me wrong, I still love to shop for something pretty.  But in this day and time feeling secure is much more important to me than buying something new or hanging on to something I no longer need. Today, I find that I get much more pleasure out of a credit card that is finally paid off and cut up. Living with less means less debt.  We need the basics, not the best!

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Americans are consuming far more salt than the recommended daily amount. “Consuming too much sodium can lead to heart disease and stroke, which are the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of both men and women in the United States every year.”

Yes, you can make scrambled eggs in the microwave! This is a great technique for a working woman like myself who’s usually rushing out the door, a college dorm dweller, or anyone that doesn’t want to dirty a pan. I also keep a carton of eggs at work so I can eat a healthy scrambled egg snack.  And they’re delicious.

This easy craft project is a useful and beautiful addition to hold your photos and such on your refrigerator.
