Another three cheers for coffee! Researchers are finding more and more benefits of drinking cups of joe, java, mojo, go juice, liquid energy, black sexy juice, or whatever you prefer to call it.

Now it’s been shown in two independent studies that drinking 3 or more cups of caffeinated coffee can reduce your risk of developing basal cell carcinoma. Unfortunately, the study didn’t show the same protection for squamous cell or melanoma, only basal. But still, this is good news, especially for us in high altitude Colorado where the sun can burn us up in such a short time.

Don’t like coffee? The study goes on to say that other sources of caffeine (chocolate, tea, and cola) also protect you. But beware, you may end up with no cancer but a fat booty from eating all that chocolate.
